Francisco Xavier: A life of love and sacrifice

Francisco Xavier,  02. April 1910 – 30. Juni 2002

Born in Pedro Leopoldo, metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte at Brazilian territory, was the son of Mary John of God and João Cândido Xavier. Educated in the Catholic faith, Chico had his first contact with the Doctrine in 1927, after
obsessive phenomenon occurred with one of his sisters. He began then to study and develop his mediumship that, as reported in a note in the book “Parnassus from Beyond the Grave“, only gained greater clarity in  1931.

His Christian name Francisco de Paula Cândido was given in honor of the saint’s day of birth, replaced by the paternal name of Francisco Cândido Xavier as soon as broke with Catholicism and wrote his first book, which was officially changed in April 1966 after the second trip to the United States.

The most known Brazilian Spiritist contributed to expand the Brazilian Spiritist movement and encourage spiritist  and non-spiritist mediums to make spiritual work, open to the public, so helping the next.

But Chico is mostly remembered for his charitable works in Uberaba, a city where he died. In the 1970s began to help poor people with money-selling his books, creating a foundation for this purpose.

Of its more than 450 psychographed books, Chico did not want the authorship of the books, because he said that he was not the author, but the various spirits.
Just as was born, also died: poor, humble but he left, not only wonderful literary works but left the best example for the Brazilian people: Peace, love, and charity for the next

About Mediumship

Since the existence of human beings, instinctively there’s that sensation, saved within each human being, of the transmigation of the soul.

Druids, through their teachers and sorcerers, kept several formulas to get contact with the Underworld, as well as the Hindus, Egyptians and other ancient civilizations, through their rituals.

Also in the Bible, we can cite several passages from the Old Testament.
In addition to the prophets who received messages from angels, called by the spiritism as pure spirits, there were also had the communication with the dead, as the famous passage of Saul, Samuel and the medium at Endor. (1 Samuel 28).

In the New Testament, it is enough to cite the passage of Jesus transfiguration, in which the disciple Peter, in his rustic human ingenuity, asks humbly should prepare three tents, one for the Master Jesus, one for Elijah and the third to Moses.

In the same chapter, Jesus tells about the Reincarnation. Unfortunatelly, because of religious Dogmas, nobody wants to accept it.

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them. 13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Matthew 17: 12-13

This is a proof that the spirits are present among us. We simply can not see them because our carnal view do not have the perception. It is like electricity. We know it exists, but we can not see it.
Before  the Hubble telescope was produced, we thought that our galaxy was the only one.

Since few years, according to the best estimates of astronomers there are at least one hundred billion galaxies in the observable universe.

Voltando aos mediums, a historia está cheia de exemplos.

Accordingly Constantine himself, while he was thus praying with fervent entreaty, a sign appeared to him from heaven. He saw with his own eyes the sign of a cross of light in the heavens, above the sun, and bearing the inscription, “By this symbol you will conquer.”

Joan of Orleans also has an amazing mediumship, in which after saving France, was betrayed and burned alive. Also there were several examples, we need only look at history, as the many mediums were killed during the holy Inquisition.

But if we look at the modern world today, many mediums are still treated with scorn and even killed, as constantly happens in India, the land of Yoga, Ayurveda and Reincarnation. There, many women are unrighteous lynched by villages, full of ignorant people. Or in Brazil where they still has a lot of prejudice.

We can not forget to mention the medium, who collaborated in the works of Allan Kardec, Ermance Dufaux De La Jonchere was born in 1841 in the town of Fontainebleau, France. Near Paris, held the official residence of Napoleon III and other nobles.

Ermance Dufaux

had as a spiritual guide the own Joan of Arc, in which the French heroine wrote an autobiography through the psychic Hands of Lady Dufaux.

But, to be a medium is not a gift we should be proud, but be treated with the greatest possible seriousness. For the mediums, as cited in the book of Emmanuel, they have several debts, committed in past lives, which receives the possibility of rescue, working for the next:

“The mediums, in their majority, are not missionaries in the common sense of the term; they are souls who have failed disastrously, which bucked, greatly, the course of the divine laws, and that rescue, under the weight of severe commitments and unlimited responsibilities, the dark and criminal record. Their past often is tainted of serious slips and clamorous mistakes. Almost always, are spirits who have fallen of the social peaks, by the abuses of power, authority, wealth and intelligence, and returning to earthling orb to sacrifice in favor of the large number of souls who deviated from the light paths of faith, charity and virtue. They are repentant souls who seek to round up all the happiness they lost, rearranging, with sacrifices, all that broke up in their moments of arbitrariness and condemnable criminal insanity.
I come to urge to all those who gave the earth to the mission of mediumship, assuring them that even in your time, the post is the renunciation, selflessness and spontaneous sacrifices.
It will be necessary that all spirits, coming to the planet with the task of operating the psychic labors, understand the extent of their sacred duties to achieve success in their high and ennobling work. It is, therefore, necessary to comply with severity and nobility, obligations, maintaining the serene consciousness! Weigh the consequences of Minimum actions, because it is necessary to turn away the own personality, desires and aspirations of material nature.”
